Putin Claims No New Attacks if Treated with Respect

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Moscow would refrain from launching new attacks on other nations if treated with respect. During his annual televised press conference in Moscow, Putin expressed that there would be no new special military operations if Russia's interests are observed, referencing NATO's eastward expansion as a point of contention.

He claimed he was ready to end the war in Ukraine peacefully but provided few details on potential compromises. Putin also asserted that Russian troops are advancing in Ukraine and expressed confidence that Russia will achieve its military objectives if Ukraine does not accept Russia's terms.

The European Union has recently agreed to provide Ukraine with a loan of over $105 billion to support its efforts in the ongoing conflict.
