Mexican Navy Plane Crash Near Texas Claims Multiple Lives

A small Mexican Navy plane crashed near Galveston, Texas, on Monday, December 22, 2025, resulting in at least five fatalities, including a two-year-old child. The aircraft was on a medical mission in coordination with the Michou and Mau Foundation, which aids children with severe burns.

The plane, identified as a King Air ANX 1209, was carrying eight individuals—four navy officers and four civilians—when it went down around 3:17 PM local time. Emergency responders, including the U.S. Coast Guard, quickly initiated search and rescue operations, recovering two survivors while one person remains missing.

The Mexican Navy has pledged to investigate the incident, while officials are examining the weather conditions, which featured foggy visibility at the time of the crash. The Federal Aviation Administration is also involved in the investigation, as local authorities continue to manage the recovery efforts.
