Brown University Shooting Leaves 2 Dead, 9 Injured During Exams

A tragic shooting at Brown University on December 13, 2025, left two students dead and nine others injured during final exams. The incident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. in a first-floor classroom of the Barus & Holley engineering building.

Providence Deputy Police Chief Tim O'Hara reported that the suspect, a male dressed in dark clothing, fled the scene, and a manhunt ensued. Eight of the wounded were taken to Rhode Island Hospital, with six in critical but stable condition, one in critical condition, and another who sustained non-life-threatening injuries from bullet fragments.
