Tesla Opens Largest Supercharger Station in Lost Hills, California

Tesla has officially completed its largest Supercharger station in Lost Hills, California, which features 168 active stalls and is known as Project Oasis. According to Teslarati, the station is powered by 10 Megapack batteries and operates independently from the grid, utilizing 11 megawatts of solar panels to support its massive Battery Energy Storage System.

This site, which spans 30 acres, generates approximately 20 gigawatt-hours of energy annually, enough to power around 1,700 homes. The completion of the Lost Hills Supercharger is particularly timely, as it opens just before the Thanksgiving holiday, a peak travel period in the United States.

The station had a partial opening in July 2025, when 84 of the 168 stalls became operational. However, the full opening was pending certification, which has now been completed. The launch of this Supercharger is a significant step for Tesla, addressing one of the few gaps in its extensive charging infrastructure by increasing availability in rural areas, catering to electric vehicle users on cross-country trips.

Tesla aims to enhance convenience for drivers with features such as pull-through stalls designed for those towing, a functionality that gained popularity following the launch of the Cybertruck. Currently, Tesla operates over 70,000 Superchargers worldwide, and the company is also known for creating unique experiences at some of its stations, like the Tesla Diner in Los Angeles, which includes drive-in movie theaters and plans for a full-service restaurant.

The Lost Hills Supercharger is not just a milestone for Tesla's infrastructure, but a clear indicator of the company's commitment to promoting electric vehicle usage across the United States by making charging more accessible, particularly in remote regions.
