Tesla has filed a patent indicating plans to integrate Starlink satellite antennas into its vehicles. According to Electrek Tesla, the patent, titled Vehicle Roof Assembly with Radio Frequency Transparent Material, describes a new roof structure designed to allow satellite signals to pass through.

Traditional automotive materials often block satellite signals, but Tesla's solution involves using polymer blends that are radio frequency transparent. This would enable the integration of antennas directly into the vehicle's roof, facilitating communication with satellites and improving connectivity.

Although the patent does not mention Starlink specifically, it suggests a seamless transition between 5G cellular networks and Starlink's satellite network, ensuring constant connectivity for Tesla vehicles.
