Tesla Korea recently celebrated the official launch of the Cybertruck in South Korea, marking a significant milestone for the company as it handed over its first 30 Cybertrucks to owners during a ceremonial event.
This event took place on November 27, 2025, at the Cultural Reserve Base in Seoul, which was transformed into a launchpad for electric mobility. The occasion featured various interactive activities, including hammer-strike durability tests, accessory sales, and a lucky draw, culminating in a synchronized light show featuring the new Cybertrucks alongside Tesla's other models such as the Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y.
Notable attendees included Yvonne Chan, Tesla APAC Regional Director, and Seo Young-deuk, President of Tesla Korea, who expressed optimism about the company's growth in the country. Seo highlighted that South Korea is currently Tesla's third-largest market globally and noted that for the first time this year, Tesla achieved the number one spot in imported car brand sales volume in the country.
To enhance customer experience, Tesla plans to continue investing in the Korean market, which is vital for its global strategy. As part of this commitment, the company is also looking to roll out Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised capabilities to the Cybertruck by the end of 2025, a development that was well-received during the launch event.
Attendees applauded the announcement, indicating a strong interest in the advanced features expected from the Cybertruck. Furthermore, Tesla Korea's Supercharger network is expanding, with 166 sites and 1,133 stalls currently operational, and plans for V4 units to support long-distance travel across the country.
The company operates seven stores and 15 service centers, with intentions to double these numbers by 2027, and a new store in Incheon’s Songdo district is set to open by December 2025. This comprehensive investment in products, charging infrastructure, and service networks aims to provide the best electric vehicle experience for Korean customers, as stated by Seo Young-deuk.
This enthusiastic reception of the Cybertruck in South Korea not only underscores the vehicle's potential market success but also reflects Tesla's strategic focus on global expansion and adaptation to local markets.
