Apple's Ongoing Innovations in Wearable Technology

Apple has released new firmware updates for the AirPods Pro 3 and AirPods Pro 2. The latest firmware for AirPods Pro 3 is build 8B30, while the AirPods Pro 2 firmware is now at 8B28. These updates typically include bug fixes and improvements, although specific details have not been disclosed by Apple yet.

Additionally, iOS 26.2, expected to launch soon, will expand AirPods Live Translation to the EU, potentially including further enhancements in the firmware updates. Meanwhile, rumors about the upcoming AirTag 2 suggest it will feature improved Precision Finding capabilities and better Bluetooth performance.

The anticipated model is expected to have a better UWB chip and will reportedly launch in 2026, maintaining a similar design to the original AirTag, priced at around $29. Enhancements are aimed at making it easier to find lost items and improving the setup process, with the hope to attract new users to Apple's tracking ecosystem, according to Cult of Mac.
