Amazon is currently facing serious allegations regarding theft by its delivery drivers, which poses a significant threat to its reputation during the crucial holiday season. A specific incident in Lakewood, California, has drawn attention, where a woman named Diane Huff-Medina alleges that an Amazon delivery driver stole her cat named Piper while dropping off a package.

Video footage from her Ring camera shows the driver petting her cat before apparently carrying it away. Huff-Medina reported that Amazon identified the driver but has been unable to reach him, leaving her without a resolution.

Meanwhile, in Miami-Dade County, another Amazon driver, Diego Alejandro Santana-Caner, was arrested for allegedly stealing packages from the Sweetwater warehouse. According to police, around 20 packages were reported missing, and there is security footage of Santana-Caner stealing food from the warehouse lunchroom.

He has been charged with dealing in stolen property and grand theft and is currently held on a $10,000 bond. These incidents highlight operational challenges Amazon faces in maintaining service quality and customer trust during the busy holiday season.
