OneXPlayer has launched its new premium handheld console, the OneXFly Apex, marking a significant advancement in portable gaming technology. The device is available through an Indiegogo campaign, with prices starting at $1,399 and going up to $2,299 for fully equipped models. This pricing positions the OneXFly Apex within the range of a high-end gaming PC, which may deter some potential buyers, especially those who might prefer more affordable options like the Steam Deck. However, the OneXFly Apex distinguishes itself with impressive specifications, featuring an external 85Wh battery that can be swapped out for extended gaming sessions. Although OneXPlayer has yet to disclose the estimated playtime for the device, the ability to quickly change the battery is a notable feature. If the battery does run low, users have the option to recharge or plug into a power outlet while continuing to play.

The OneXFly Apex can be customized with up to an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip and offers up to 128GB of memory. In terms of storage, it boasts up to 4TB of local storage, with options for expansion through a mini SSD and a microSD card slot, allowing gamers to significantly enhance their storage capabilities.
