Full Transcript
SpaceX launched two more batches of Starlink satellites on December 17, 2025, in a doubleheader from both U.S. coasts. The first launch occurred at 8:42 a.m. EST from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, deploying 29 satellites as part of Group 6-99 into low Earth orbit.
Approximately an hour and five minutes after liftoff, SpaceX confirmed the deployment of the satellites. The Falcon 9 rocket's first stage booster, designated B1094, completed its sixth flight with a successful landing on the droneship "Just Read the Instructions" in the Atlantic Ocean.
Following this, at 10:27 a.m. EST, a second Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, carrying an additional 27 Starlink satellites from Group 15-13.
This flight was projected to deploy its payload about an hour after launch. The first stage booster for the California flight, B1063, performed its 30th propulsive landing on the droneship "Of Course I Still Love You" in the Pacific Ocean.
With these two launches, SpaceX now has more than 9,400 Starlink satellites in orbit, enhancing global internet access, especially in areas with limited connectivity. These missions marked the 164th and 165th Falcon 9 flights for SpaceX in 2025, showcasing the company's operational capabilities and commitment to expanding its satellite internet service.
