SEEQC, a digital quantum computing company, has announced a manufacturing partnership with Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute, ITRI, to construct a state-of-the-art process line dedicated to manufacturing SEEQC's proprietary Single Flux Quantum superconducting control chips.

This initiative aims to build a resilient, distributed supply chain for emerging quantum and superconducting technologies. The new manufacturing line will focus on delivering high-yield production of SFQ digital control chips, which are essential for building scalable, fault-tolerant quantum computers.

These chips operate at cryogenic temperatures alongside qubits, handling timing, readout, and error-correction logic with ultra-low power and low latency. The collaboration leverages ITRI's semiconductor process expertise with SEEQC's proprietary SFQ chip design for large-scale manufacturing.

This manufacturing expansion supports SEEQC's ongoing programs, including its participation in Phase B of the DARPA-sponsored Quantum Benchmarking Initiative and collaborations with NVIDIA and the UK's National Quantum Computing Centre.

Shu-Jen Han, CTO at SEEQC, noted that building this capability with a trusted partner creates a diversified manufacturing base for U.S. and global customers, complementing SEEQC's existing New York chip fab.

The announcement was made on December 4, 2025, emphasizing the significance of the partnership in advancing quantum hardware manufacturing capabilities.
