In a groundbreaking event at Disneyland Paris, Bruce Vaughn, President and Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Imagineering, along with Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, unveiled a next-generation robotic character representing Olaf from Disney's Frozen.

This innovative character is designed to emulate the beloved snowman's animated qualities through advanced robotics technology. Every gesture and detail aims to reflect Olaf's personality, enhanced with iridescent fibers to mimic the shimmer of fresh snow.

The team collaborated closely with original animators from Walt Disney Animation Studios to ensure authenticity in Olaf's movements and expressions. To create a truly lifelike character, Disney utilized reinforcement learning, allowing Olaf to acquire skills in movement and interaction more rapidly than traditional methods.

Unlike previous robotic characters, Olaf can fully articulate his mouth, eyes, and removable features, and he is capable of engaging in conversations, providing a unique guest experience. Olaf will make his debut at the Arendelle Bay Show in the upcoming World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris, with limited-time appearances at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

This launch signifies a new chapter in Disney's character innovation, highlighting the intersection of technology, storytelling, and entertainment, with plans for even more expressive characters in the future.
