Pasqal Launches Neutral-Atom Quantum Processing Unit on Scaleway Cloud
Full Transcript
Pasqal, a neutral-atom quantum computing company, has announced its integration into Scaleway's Quantum-as-a-Service platform, unveiled at ai-PULSE 2025. This collaboration reinforces Pasqal's commitment to democratizing quantum computing through sovereign cloud infrastructure for European researchers and developers.
Scaleway's QaaS creates a unified ecosystem where users can access Pasqal quantum processing units directly through cloud infrastructure, prototype efficiently using high-performance GPU-based quantum emulation, and transition seamlessly to real quantum hardware.
The platform supports open-source SDKs like Pulser, Pasqal's Python library for pulse-level programming, which is essential for defining the laser pulses and sequences required for neutral-atom systems.
This integration strengthens Pasqal's expanding footprint across European cloud infrastructure, following its November 2025 launch on OVHcloud's Quantum Platform. The partnership is intended to provide European organizations with a clear path to exploring quantum computing applications while maintaining full control over their data and computational workflows.
Pasqal's neutral-atom processors are now available alongside other European quantum hardware on the Scaleway platform. Jaap Kautz, VP of Product at Pasqal, noted that the unified cloud access to quantum hardware is an important step in making quantum computing more seamless for users.
The announcement was made on December 6, 2025.
