BTQ Technologies Acquires Post-Quantum IP and Joins QTUM ETF

BTQ Technologies Corp., trading on Nasdaq under the symbol BTQ, has made a strategic investment in Keypair, a South Korean security firm known for its full-stack hardware-rooted security solutions tailored for national infrastructure.

This transaction establishes co-ownership of Keypair's existing and future post-quantum cryptography intellectual property. In tandem with this investment, BTQ Technologies announced its inclusion in the Defiance Quantum ETF, or QTUM, effective December 15, 2025, following the semi-annual reconstitution of the BlueStar Machine Learning and Quantum Computing Index, BQTUM.

The collaboration with Keypair aims to develop infrastructure-grade, hardware-based security technologies intended for systems with long service lifecycles. Keypair has established deployments in critical sectors within South Korea, providing secure-element-based chips for the Korea Electric Power Corporation's national metering program and offering defense supply chain support to companies like Hanwha Systems and LIG Nex1.

This partnership is set to integrate BTQ's quantum-safe roadmap with Keypair's proven hardware, delivering certified post-quantum cryptography solutions for payments, identity, and regulated institutional systems.

BTQ's CEO, Olivier Roussy Newton, highlighted that these advancements accelerate the company's capability to support standardized, interoperable post-quantum cryptography architectures across its broader ecosystem, which includes partnerships with Finger, Danal, and the QUINSA alliance.

The report indicates that this move significantly enhances BTQ's capital markets presence and institutional visibility as it pursues securing mission-critical networks. This investment and ETF inclusion reflect the increasing importance of quantum-resistant security solutions in today's technology landscape.
