Pudu Robotics Showcases Robot Dog at Tokyo Exhibition

At the International Robot Exhibition in Tokyo, Pudu Robotics unveiled its latest model, the D5, a nearly one-metre-tall robot dog. This quadruped, distinguished by its pale-grey color, showcased its abilities by navigating steps and greeting onlookers with a raised foreleg.

The D5 operates on wheels and is equipped with advanced technology, including Nvidias Orin chip, four 120-degree fisheye cameras, and dual front-and-rear lidar sensors, enabling it to function autonomously in diverse terrains and weather conditions.

Felix Zhang Tao, founder and CEO of Pudu Robotics, highlighted the potential applications of robot dogs in various industries, from inspection to delivery, powered by high-performance computing. This model marks Pudu's second robot dog following a less agile version released in 2022, reflecting significant advancements in motion-control algorithms and embodied intelligence technologies within the robotics sector.

Pudu Robotics is based in Shenzhen and has sold over 100,000 robots across more than 80 countries and regions, establishing a strong global presence in the service robotics market.
