Google unveiled new features for the Galaxy XR headset during The Android Show: XR Edition on December 8. The Galaxy XR's new capabilities include 'PC Connect', allowing users to expand their workspace into the headset and view desktop applications alongside native Google Play apps.

A 'Travel mode' transforms confined spaces into immersive work or entertainment environments, while 'Likeness' creates a digital representation of the user's face to mirror expressions in real-time. Google also introduced Project Aura by XReal, featuring a 70-degree field of view and optical see-through technology, allowing users to overlay digital content on their surroundings.

These glasses will launch next year, designed to provide a massive screen experience without obstructing the user's view. Additionally, Google is working on two types of AI glasses—screen-free and display AI glasses.

Developer Preview 3 has also been released, enabling developers to create new experiences for these emerging technologies. According to Android Central, these advancements represent Google's commitment to enhancing the XR landscape in gaming, education, and remote work.
