Elon Musk's Vision for Tesla Optimus Production Targets Revealed

Elon Musk recently made significant announcements regarding Tesla's Optimus humanoid robot production targets. According to Teslarati, Musk clarified that the plural term for the robot will be 'Optimi,' officially establishing how the company will refer to multiple units of the humanoid robot.

This terminology comes as part of Musk's vision for Optimus to be Tesla's highest-volume product. Musk stated that production will begin at the Fremont Factory with a target of one million Optimi per year.

Following this initial ramp-up, the Giga Texas facility is expected to host an even larger production line capable of producing tens of millions of Optimi annually. Musk's vision extends even further, with projections that a Mars location could eventually support a staggering production rate of 100 million units per year, potentially leading to a billion Optimis produced annually.
