Authorities allege that 23-year-old Jeremiah Rosendo from Graniteville, Staten Island, recorded himself having sex with a woman without her knowledge or consent in June. The criminal complaint states that Rosendo filmed the encounter using his cell phone, revealing the woman's identity and intimate parts.

Months later, the woman discovered the video posted on one of Rosendo's social media accounts. According to the complaint, she did not give Rosendo permission to publish, disseminate, or share the video.

On November 9, Rosendo was arrested and charged with unlawful surveillance, unlawful dissemination of a personal image, and unlawful dissemination or publication of an intimate image. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is scheduled to return to state Criminal Court in St.

George on January 8, according to public records. An attorney for the defendant has not responded to requests for comment. This case underscores the urgent need for stronger privacy protections in the digital age, highlighting the risks individuals face online and the importance of consent in digital interactions.
