The tech layoff wave continues into 2025, with over 22,000 job cuts reported so far, according to TechCrunch. In February alone, there were more than 16,000 layoffs across various companies. Payoneer is letting go of about 30 employees in Israel and a similar number overseas, representing roughly 6% of its global workforce.

VSCO has laid off 24 employees due to disappointing consumer demand and restructuring efforts. Mobileye is reportedly cutting 200 employees, about 4% of its workforce, impacting mainly its teams in Israel.

Meanwhile, Amazon has announced plans to eliminate around 14,000 corporate roles, and Rivian is cutting 600 jobs amid an EV market slowdown. Other notable layoffs include Playtika, which plans to reduce its workforce by 20%, and HP, which intends to cut 4,000 to 6,000 jobs by 2028 as part of its operational streamlining.

As companies increasingly adopt AI and automation, many are citing these factors as reasons for workforce reductions, emphasizing the ongoing challenges facing the tech sector.
