Despite his individual success, Nacua expressed frustration with the officiating, notably criticizing a controversial two-point conversion call that allowed the Seahawks to tie the game. He took to X, posting and later deleting a message that read, 'Can you say I was wrong? Appreciate you stripes for your contribution.

Rams coach Sean McVay acknowledged the unusual nature of the two-point conversion ruling but emphasized that he does not condone players criticizing officials.

Nacua later clarified his comments were a moment of frustration, stating, 'I know there are moments where I feel like, man, you watch the other games and you think of the calls that some guys get and you wish you could get some of those.' He also faced backlash for a dance on the live stream that was deemed antisemitic, for which he apologized, asserting he did not intend to perpetuate stereotypes.

Despite the distractions, McVay noted Nacua's significant contributions on the field and his potential for a lucrative contract extension following this season.
