The New Orleans Pelicans snapped their seven-game losing streak with a commanding 143-120 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers at Smoothie King Center on December 11, 2025. Trey Murphy III led the Pelicans with 24 points, while Bryce McGowens scored a career-high 23 points, including five three-pointers.

Jordan Poole, coming off the bench after an 18-game absence due to a left quad strain, added 22 points. The Pelicans dominated the game, particularly in the paint, scoring 88 points there, which marked the most the Blazers have allowed this season.

The Blazers, missing all three of their point guards and traditional centers, struggled defensively and fell to 9-16 on the season. Despite the loss, Shaedon Sharpe and Sidy Cissoko provided some bright spots for Portland, scoring 21 and 20 points, respectively.

The Pelicans' victory is a much-needed boost as they aim to improve their season, currently holding a record of 4-22, the worst in the NBA.
