The Seattle Kraken ended their six-game losing streak with a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory against the Los Angeles Kings on December 10, 2025. According to Deadspin, Vince Dunn scored the game-winning goal just 1:21 into overtime, completing a comeback that saw Matty Beniers tie the game with a power-play goal only 26 seconds before the end of regulation.
Eeli Tolvanen assisted on both late goals, while Dunn also recorded two assists. Jared McCann scored the Kraken's first goal of the night. The Kings had taken the lead earlier in the third period with a goal from Kevin Fiala, marking their two-game winning streak's end.
Goaltender Joey Daccord made 24 saves for the Kraken in the victory. The Hockey Writers reported that the game was characterized by competitive play, with both teams having power-play opportunities. The Kraken had a chance to score earlier in the game, but a review determined that a puck did not cross the goal line.
With this win, the Kraken look to build momentum as they prepare to face the Utah Mammoth on December 12, while the Kings will host the Calgary Flames on December 13.
