Jeffery Simmons has had enough of the Tennessee Titans' repeated false starts. Following the team's narrow loss to the Houston Texans, Simmons didn't hold back in addressing the issue, expressing his frustration with the offense's lack of discipline.

He confronted his teammates on the sideline, urging them to improve their complementary football. Postgame, Simmons stated, 'I’m tired of sugarcoating it. We need to be better, especially at home. Can’t have that many f---ing false starts.

There’s no way we should have that many false starts at home.' The Titans committed five false starts against the Texans, with right tackle JC Latham responsible for three of those penalties. Latham attributed some of the issues to cadence problems, which quarterback Cam Ward also acknowledged.

Simmons highlighted that the offensive struggles weren’t a new development, noting that the team had recorded four false starts during Friday’s practice. In total, the Titans incurred nine penalties in the game, which included a 15-yard unnecessary contact penalty charged to Simmons on a missed field goal attempt by Texans kicker Matthew Wright.

While the Texans eventually turned the ball over on downs, the Titans ultimately lost the game by a score of 16-13, with Wright kicking a last-second field goal. This loss drops the Titans to a disappointing 1-9 on the season.

Simmons, who returned from a two-game absence due to a hamstring injury, emphasized the importance of a unified effort moving forward, stating, 'We fought all the way back from injuries just because the team and this game means so much to us.

Everybody has to take the same approach. We’re grown men and have a job to do. We need to attack every day with a better attitude.' Simmons' comments reflect deeper issues with discipline and execution for the Titans, potentially signaling a need for adjustments within the coaching staff and a renewed focus among the players moving forward.
