Steelers Fanbase Anticipates Strong Presence at Chargers Game

Clay Matthews, former NFL linebacker, expects a strong showing from Steelers Nation at SoFi Stadium during the upcoming game against the Los Angeles Chargers. He likened the atmosphere to a home game for the Steelers, citing the impressive travel habits of Pittsburgh fans.

Matthews noted his experience playing at the Colosseum, stating, 'SoFi is just an extension of that.' Former NFL head coach Jon Gruden echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing that Steelers fans have historically made their presence felt in Southern California.

He stated, 'There’s gonna be more Steeler fans than you’ve ever seen in California.' The Steelers have a notable history of taking over L.A. stadiums, as evidenced by their previous games against the Chargers in 2019 and 2021.

Their matchup against the Rams at SoFi Stadium in 2023 also showcased a strong display of fan support. Under head coach Mike Tomlin, the Steelers have struggled in the West, with a 10-11 record in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones.
