The Philadelphia Eagles faced significant scrutiny over their coaching decisions following a disappointing 24-15 loss to the Chicago Bears. Many fans expressed their frustration at Lincoln Financial Field, directing their discontent primarily towards offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.

Despite the calls for change, head coach Nick Sirianni firmly stated that there would be no change in the play-caller, emphasizing that the issues stemmed from multiple factors rather than just one individual.

Sirianni remarked, 'I know it will keep coming back to Kevin, but again, if I thought it was one thing, then you make those changes. Obviously, it's a lot of different things, but I don't think it is Kevin.' The Eagles struggled offensively, managing only two touchdowns on 11 drives, which included four three-and-outs and two turnovers.

This performance continued a troubling trend for the Eagles, who averaged just 22.5 points per game over the season, including wins that saw them score only 26 points combined against the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.

Sirianni acknowledged the team's need for improvement, stating, 'We all collectively have to do a better job, and that's going to be starting with us as coaches, starting with me as the coach, finding solutions to getting the offense going.' His comments came after a game in which the Eagles' run game was ineffective against one of the NFL's worst run defenses.

Sirianni pointed to the team's struggles in both the run and pass game, noting the inability to establish a consistent offensive rhythm. He indicated that they would continue to evaluate their strategies moving forward but ruled out changing the offensive play-caller.

Regarding the team's performance, Sirianni mentioned that they lost the turnover battle and failed to produce explosive plays, stating, 'All those things are going to dictate the win and loss.' He also addressed the imbalance in their offensive play-calling, which he attributed partly to game circumstances, particularly trailing late in contests.

Additionally, Sirianni defended his decision-making during critical moments, such as the two-point conversion attempt, explaining that there was a strategic need to understand what they would require later in the game.

The Eagles now face an uphill battle as they prepare for the final stretch of the season, with Sirianni remaining confident that the coaching staff and players can improve their performance together. As the team looks to regain its footing, the coaching decisions in the upcoming games will be crucial in determining their playoff aspirations.
