The Los Angeles Rams are currently at the pinnacle of the NFL, leading the DVOA rankings as the top team in both offense and defense, according to Football Outsiders founder Aaron Schatz. This marks a significant achievement for the Rams, as it's the first time they've held such a dominant position since their Super Bowl victory four years ago.

Notably, the Rams have not trailed since the first quarter of their win against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6, maintaining a lead for 23 consecutive quarters. Their recent success includes five victories against teams currently in playoff contention, including wins against the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts, who they have also bested this season.

ESPN's Peter Schrager highlighted this achievement during his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, shedding light on the Rams' remarkable streak. As of now, the Rams have become favorites to win the Super Bowl, boasting a 57% chance of securing the NFC's number one seed, as reported by FTN Fantasy.

Their odds to claim the Super Bowl stand at an impressive 26.7%, outpacing the second-place Colts by 11.5 percentage points. The Seattle Seahawks follow at third with a 13.5% chance. Additionally, the Rams are given a 60% likelihood of reaching the NFC Championship game and a 40% chance of advancing to the Super Bowl.

With a winning streak of six games, the Rams currently possess the best scoring defense in the league, allowing an average of just 16.3 points per game. They are also strong in other defensive metrics, ranking third in points allowed per drive.

Offensively, they are fifth in points scored per drive, with quarterback Matthew Stafford emerging as the MVP favorite after throwing 25 touchdowns since his last interception. Notably, rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua leads the league with 80 receptions, while Davante Adams tops the chart with 12 touchdowns.

The Rams are also looking ahead to the future, holding the Atlanta Falcons' first-round pick for 2026, along with nearly $100 million in cap space. ESPN's Sarah Barshop pointed out that the Rams haven't been Super Bowl favorites since 2018, emphasizing the significance of this current moment.

As the consensus best team in the league, the Rams are focused not just on holding the top spot but on closing out the season successfully.
