The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to a three-year, $60 million extension, with $40 million guaranteed. According to multiple reports, Meyers, who was acquired mid-season from the Las Vegas Raiders for fourth- and sixth-round draft picks, has quickly established himself as a key player for the Jaguars.

Since joining the team, Meyers has recorded 27 catches for 355 yards and three touchdowns in just six games, making him Trevor Lawrence's most reliable target. Jaguars running back Travis Etienne praised Meyers, stating that his presence elevates the performance of the entire offense, which has averaged 31.8 points per game since his arrival.

Meyers was set to become a free agent after this season, but now he is part of the Jaguars' long-term plans, expected to continue his impact in the years to come. General manager James Gladstone noted that Meyers's ability to not drop the football was a significant factor in their decision to trade for him, and he has had only one drop this season.

The Jaguars, currently at 10-4 and leading the AFC South, are looking to build on their success as they head toward the playoffs.
