Last week, Big Cat Country conducted a survey among Jacksonville Jaguars fans to assess the legacy of Josh Hines-Allen. The survey revealed that over half of the respondents believe Hines-Allen ranks between the sixth and twentieth best players in franchise history.
Additionally, a quarter of fans expressed that he should be considered for induction into the Pride of the Jaguars in the future. Since being drafted seventh overall in 2019, Hines-Allen has made significant contributions to the team, ranking sixth among all EDGE defenders with 138 quarterback hits and tenth with 57 sacks.
His performance continues to improve, especially now that the Jaguars are utilizing him across various formations. Liam Coen, the team's offensive coordinator, discussed Hines-Allen's deployment on Monday, noting that the team's strategy has led to increased pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
He mentioned, 'I think we obviously affected the quarterback more. We had six sacks, the most since 2023, and 15 QB hits. Five guys had sacks. So, I do think that continuing to try to be creative about getting our guys matchups is important.' This strategic approach is aimed at maximizing player performance and finding favorable matchups on the field.
As for the fan confidence survey regarding the team's direction, the results indicated that 79% of fans are confident, a decrease from 88% the previous week. This shift in sentiment highlights the fluctuating emotions among the fanbase as the season progresses.
In the spirit of community engagement, fans expressed their thoughts on social media, including a belated Happy Thanksgiving greeting to fellow supporters. This ongoing dialogue among fans reflects not only their passion for the team but also their investment in the legacy of players like Josh Hines-Allen.
