Lions' Offensive Line Coach Discusses Frank Ragnow's Status
Full Transcript
On Wednesday, Detroit Lions offensive line coach Hank Fraley discussed the recent developments regarding center Frank Ragnow. Ragnow, an All-Pro player, briefly came out of retirement only to return to the reserve/retired list after failing his physical due to a Grade 3 hamstring sprain.
Fraley explained that Ragnow had been training consistently, but unfortunately suffered a significant injury during that time. He noted, Ragnow thought it was just a little tweak, demonstrating his toughness while playing.
Fraley expressed that he is not disappointed, acknowledging the unfortunate nature of the injury. He also conveyed his belief that Ragnow, at 29 years old, still has plenty left in him to play. If Ragnow expresses a desire to return to the field, Fraley stated that the door is open for him.
However, Ragnow has not made any media appearances or social media posts since being placed back on the reserve/retired list, and the Lions have not had any discussions with him about a potential comeback.
