The Denver Broncos have faced significant challenges in their run game during the last two games without star running back JK Dobbins. In these matches, against the 17th and 27th ranked rushing defenses, the Broncos averaged just 3.4 yards per carry, which would be the lowest in the league for the entire season if maintained.

Dobbins was averaging 5.0 yards per carry with a run success rate of 53.6%. Comparatively, RJ Harvey is averaging 3.8 yards per carry with a success rate of 39.2%, while Jaleel McLaughlin is at 3.3 yards per carry and a 46.2% success rate.

The Broncos' run game has dipped significantly on first down, where they averaged 5.5 yards per carry with Dobbins, but only managed 2.8 yards against Kansas City and 3.5 yards against Washington. The drop in first down efficiency has led to numerous third-and-long situations.

Notably, the Broncos have achieved only a 40% success rate on first down runs in the last two games. RJ Harvey's performance has shown some issues, including a tendency to not follow blockers, which has resulted in lost yardage opportunities.

Moreover, both Harvey and McLaughlin have struggled to break arm tackles, with Dobbins having broken nine tackles while the duo combined for none. The Broncos' offensive line has performed well in run blocking, but Harvey needs to adapt his play style to trust his blockers and capitalize on yardage as the game progresses.

This adjustment is crucial as the team looks to maintain offensive efficiency moving forward.
