However, he may not be away from the team for long, as Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post reports that Lewis is expected to return to Denver's practice squad if he clears waivers. This move could indicate that the Broncos anticipate tight end Nate Adkins returning from a knee injury, which has sidelined him since late October.
