Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar is currently undergoing aggressive treatment for internal bleeding as he prepares for a liver transplant. Kosar shared his health struggles in a video posted on X, where he revealed he has undergone two aggressive procedures this week and is scheduled for a third.

He expressed his need for love, support, and prayers during this challenging time. About 16 months ago, Kosar was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and Parkinson's disease, which has significantly impacted his quality of life.

Kosar's football career began at the University of Miami from 1982 to 1984, and he went on to play twelve seasons in the NFL, primarily with the Browns. The Browns drafted him in the 1985 NFL season, and he became an iconic figure in the franchise's history, leading the team to three AFC Championship games.

After being released by the Browns in 1993, he joined the Dallas Cowboys and secured his only Super Bowl ring that year. He concluded his NFL career with two seasons at the Miami Dolphins. Kosar's career stats include 1,994 completions out of 3,365 attempts, totaling 23,301 yards, along with 124 touchdowns and 87 interceptions.

He also holds the record for the most consecutive completed passes without an interception, a record that stood until Tom Brady broke it in 2020.
