The Bengals activated linebacker Shaka Heyward back to the active roster from injured reserve, the team announced on Friday. He returned to practice on December 3 and was a full participant all three days this week.
Heyward, a second-year player, had been on injured reserve since October 28 due to a fibula injury. In eight games this season, he has recorded 10 tackles, participating in seven defensive snaps and 130 on special teams.
Last season, Heyward appeared in six games, playing 12 defensive snaps and 102 on special teams. His return is expected to bolster the Bengals' defense as they approach a critical stretch of the season, enhancing the team's depth and performance on the field.
