His standout moment came in a semifinal game against Orlando, where he scored 40 points. Towns contributed significantly as well, averaging 21.1 points and 10.9 rebounds with shooting splits of 48% from the field, 37% from beyond the arc, and 90% from the free-throw line, highlighted by a 39-point game against Miami.

The Knicks achieved a 6-1 record in Cup play, defeating teams such as San Antonio, Orlando, Toronto, and Miami, ultimately winning the tournament by beating the Spurs in the championship game.
