Team USA has strengthened its roster for the upcoming World Baseball Classic by adding All-Star pitchers Tarik Skubal and Mason Miller. According to Deadspin, Skubal, who plays for the Detroit Tigers, had an impressive 2025 season, finishing with a 2.21 ERA and 241 strikeouts.
Miller, the closer for the San Diego Padres, also had a standout year with a 2.63 ERA and 22 saves. Both pitchers join a roster already featuring stars like Aaron Judge and Paul Skenes. The team, managed by Mark DeRosa, will begin pool play on March 6 against Brazil in Houston.
This will be the sixth edition of the WBC, and Team USA aims to reclaim the championship after finishing as runners-up to Japan in 2023. The addition of both pitchers is crucial for Team USA as they look to enhance their pitching depth in the tournament.
