The Seattle Mariners have finalized their coaching staff for the 2026 season, making significant changes aimed at improving team performance. According to MLB Trade Rumors, three new members have been added: Austin Nola as bullpen coach, Carlos Cardoza as third base coach, and Jake McKinley as field coordinator.
Nola's hiring was previously reported last month, while Cardoza, who turns 39 in January, is stepping into his first MLB coaching role after spending a decade in the Texas farm system, including three seasons managing the Double-A affiliate.
McKinley, also making his MLB debut, recently left his position as head coach at the University of Nevada after leading the Wolfpack to a conference championship and was recognized as the 2025 Mountain West Coach of the Year.
The rest of the coaching staff will remain intact after the Mariners' successful run to the ALCS last season, with notable figures such as bench coach Manny Acta and hitting strategy director Edgar Martinez returning in their roles.
