Lamar Jackson exited the Ravens' 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football due to a back injury late in the second quarter. According to ESPN, Jackson was kneed in the lower left side of his back by Patriots safety Craig Woodson and was replaced by backup Tyler Huntley.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh described the injury as 'a bruise of some kind' but noted that the severity was still uncertain. Jackson attempted to return but was ultimately ruled out late in the third quarter.

He expressed frustration, stating, 'I can't finish the game with my guys. It's BS.' With Jackson out, Huntley led the Ravens to a brief 24-13 lead before the Patriots scored two touchdowns for the comeback win.

This loss leaves Baltimore at 7-8, putting their playoff hopes at risk as they prepare to face the Green Bay Packers. If Jackson cannot participate in the upcoming game, Huntley would make his second start of the season.

The Ravens have struggled significantly without Jackson, boasting a record of 5-11 without him since he became the starting quarterback in 2018. Jackson has faced a challenging season, dealing with multiple injuries, missing three games, and being forced out of two others.

As the Ravens head into a critical stretch, they may have to navigate their playoff bid without their star quarterback, pending the results of Jackson's MRI, which is expected to provide further clarity on his condition.
