The College Football Playoff has announced an exciting addition to the championship weekend festivities. According to the Miami Herald, two Grammy Award winners, Calvin Harris and Peso Pluma, will headline a free concert in Miami Beach.

Harris will perform on January 17th, followed by Peso Pluma on January 18th. These concerts will take place just ahead of the College Football Playoff National Championship game scheduled for January 19th at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

CFP executive director Rich Clark emphasized the importance of creating a grand event, stating that Miami is known for its ability to host large-scale celebrations. The concert is designed to engage the community and enhance the overall experience surrounding the championship.

In addition to the headliners, the concert will feature DJs John Summit and Xandra, as well as performances by Latin Mafia and singer Greeicy alongside Peso Pluma. Prior to the championship game, country star Kat Luna will perform at the Allstate Championship Tailgate outside the stadium.

The initiative aims to provide accessible entertainment for fans, especially considering that tickets to the national championship game may be out of reach for many. Clark noted that these events are meant to create a community atmosphere, allowing fans to participate and feel connected to the championship.

The CFP has also organized other events, including the Playoff Fan Central, Media Day presented by Great Clips, and the Extra Yard for Teachers Summit, all contributing to a vibrant celebration. With this approach, the CFP intends to leave a lasting positive impression on attendees, making the championship weekend a memorable occasion.

Jack Seiler, president of the 2025 Miami Host Committee, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the enthusiasm and excitement expected from the community. This multifaceted event not only focuses on the game itself but also aims to foster a broader community celebration, allowing fans to engage with the championship festivities in various ways.
