Texas Tech, ranked No. 19, achieved a stunning comeback from a 17-point deficit to defeat No. 3 Duke 82-81 at Madison Square Garden. Christian Anderson, who scored 23 of his game-high 27 points in the second half, was pivotal in the comeback, hitting the game-winning free throw with just 3.4 seconds left on the clock.

The Red Raiders started strong with a 9-0 run, but Duke quickly took control, leading 46-36 at halftime. In the second half, Anderson's four second-half three-pointers and a crucial four-point play helped Texas Tech turn the tide.

JT Toppin contributed significantly with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while LeJuan Watts added 20 points before fouling out. The victory marked Texas Tech's first win over Duke after two previous losses and was their largest comeback since overcoming a 16-point deficit against Arkansas in the 2022 Sweet 16.

Duke's Cameron Boozer led his team with 23 points, but their nine-game winning streak at Madison Square Garden ended with this loss. Texas Tech is now 9-3 on the season and will host Winthrop on December 28, followed by a Big 12 opener against Oklahoma State on January 3.
