Columbia University women's basketball team is focused on securing a third consecutive NCAA Tournament bid after back-to-back appearances in 2024 and last season. In their recent game against Wagner College on Saturday, Columbia showcased their dominance, winning 82-42 at Levien Gymnasium in Manhattan.

With this victory, Columbia improved their record to 6-4, while Wagner fell to 2-6. Head Coach Megan Griffith expressed the importance of maintaining good habits and discipline, emphasizing that practice is crucial for player development, even as the team celebrates their early season successes.

Freshman forward Alicia Mitchell noted the excitement of gaining playing time and the supportive atmosphere from teammates and coaches. Columbia's strong performance followed a similar dominant win over Manhattan University, where they won 84-38, demonstrating their growing competitiveness in the league.
