Georgia Tech men's basketball has designated its Atlantic Coast Conference home opener against Boston College on January 3 as the Fight for Literacy game. This event at McCamish Pavilion starts at 2 p.m. and encourages fans to donate new or gently used books suitable for children from newborn to first grade.

In return for their contributions, fans will receive a $10 discount on one ticket, applicable only for walk-up purchases on the day of the game. Donation bins will be placed outside the security checkpoints at each entrance.

This initiative is part of Champions for Literacy's national effort to raise awareness about childhood literacy, with Georgia Tech participating for the second consecutive season after hosting a similar event last year with Stanford.

The Fight for Literacy game aims to engage the community and support local literacy efforts, reinforcing the impact of basketball beyond just the sport itself.
