Full Transcript
Shots were fired outside the Queens Cabaret, an adult entertainment club located at 124 Atando Avenue in north Charlotte, early Sunday morning, November 30, 2025. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reported that the shooting occurred around 4:50 AM.
Officers arrived at the scene to find one victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. This individual was transported by MEDIC to a local hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries. Another victim was located nearby, having also suffered gunshot wounds and crashed their car.
This second victim was also transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. As of the latest reports, the identities of both victims have not been released. CMPD is investigating the incident and has indicated that they are still gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses at the scene.
A video posted by CMPD on social media showed crime scene tape around the parking lot of the Queens Cabaret. Though the shooting took place near the club, investigators have yet to determine if the incident is directly related to the establishment or its patrons.
This shooting marks the third homicide that CMPD has investigated in the 100 and 200 blocks of Atando Avenue since 2023. A previous incident on April 29, 2023, involved a man who was found with traumatic injuries and later died at the hospital.
A suspect was arrested in that case and charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Additionally, another shooting in September of that same year left one man dead and another injured in the same area.
CMPD is urging anyone with information about the recent shooting to contact their Homicide Unit at 704-432-8477 or to reach out anonymously to Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. The ongoing violence associated with nightlife venues, particularly strip clubs, raises concerns about community safety and the effectiveness of law enforcement responses to such incidents.
As investigations continue, the implications of this violence on public safety remain a critical issue for the Charlotte community.
