SpaceX Continues Expansion with New Starlink Satellite Launches

SpaceX's recent satellite launches continue to mark significant advancements in global internet connectivity. On December 7, 2025, the company successfully launched 28 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, completing its 115th Starlink launch of the year.

The Falcon 9 rocket utilized for this mission, tail number B1088, performed its 12th flight and landed successfully on the drone ship 'Of Course I Still Love You' in the Pacific Ocean. However, a planned launch for the 3,000th Starlink satellite was scrubbed due to poor weather, with attempts to reschedule for December 8 pending improved conditions.

This mission, dubbed Starlink 6-92, would have used the Falcon booster B1067, marking its 32nd flight and contributing to SpaceX's aspiration of certifying its boosters for up to 40 missions each. The Starlink constellation now exceeds 9,100 operational satellites, providing essential internet access in areas lacking traditional connectivity options.
