Student teams competed in NASA's 2025 Invention Challenge at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory on December 5, where they were tasked with designing devices to transport two gallons of water 16 feet in under 60 seconds.

This year’s challenge saw 18 teams from middle and high schools across Los Angeles and Orange counties, with Arcadia High School's Team Still Water winning first place by completing the task in just 6.45 seconds.

In addition to this educational initiative, NASA also celebrated winning an Emmy Award for its broadcast of the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse, recognized for Excellence in Production Technology at the 76th Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards.

The broadcast was a significant achievement for NASA, garnering nearly 40 million views across various platforms and showcasing the eclipse through live feeds and commentary from various locations. This event highlighted NASA's commitment to education and public engagement, blending engineering challenges with inspiring astronomical phenomena.
