The owners of Touch of Class Hair Studio in Topeka, Terry and Barbara Stearman, are celebrating their retirement after serving the community for 50 years. Barbara officially retired earlier this month, while Terry's retirement was yesterday.
Terry expressed his gratitude for the relationships he built over the decades, stating, 'I've got a lot of friends that were clients that I've exchanged cell phone numbers with and I want to maintain that for coffee or lunch or breakfast or something.' New salon owner Christy Watkins praised the Stearmans, calling them 'famous Topeka people' and noted their caring nature and community involvement.
She assured clients that the business will continue and that local talent will remain on staff. A retirement party was held to honor their contributions to the Topeka community.
