New Salons Open Amidst Industry Changes and Trends

Lisa Fidler recently celebrated the grand opening of Mad Hatter's Hair Salon in Mifflinburg on December 8, 2025. During the event, Fidler, who has extensive experience in hairdressing, cut the ribbon for her new establishment located at 373 Chestnut Street.

The opening was attended by local officials, including Mifflinburg Mayor David Cooney, and representatives from the Bucknell University Small Business Development Center and M&T Bank, showcasing community support for new business ventures.

In a significant trend in the beauty industry, Face Foundrie, a skincare chain known for its same-day services, is set to open its first salon in San Antonio at 320 E Basse Rd in the Quarry Village shopping center in mid-April 2026.

This expansion follows the brand's successful growth since its inception in 2019, founded by Michele Henry to meet the demand for immediate skincare services. The salon will offer a range of services, including facials and chemical peels, and reflects the changing landscape of consumer preferences in beauty and wellness.
