Community Connections: Celebrating 25 Years of Resilience in Whitefish Salon

Reecias Salon and Spa has marked 25 years as a fixture in Whitefish, Montana's beauty and wellness community. Owner Reecia Maxwell, who has spent 33 years as a stylist, found herself unexpectedly becoming a salon owner when the stylist she worked with closed their business.

Over the years, Maxwell has emphasized the importance of personal connections, noting that clients value their time at the salon beyond just hair services. She stated, 'When you have that personal connection, people will give up a lot before they give up their hair.' The salon fosters a supportive culture among its 11 employees, with mentorship playing a key role in helping new stylists establish their clientele.

Reecias Salon has maintained a partnership with AVEDA, which promotes sustainability and accountability in the beauty industry. The salon is set to celebrate its 25-year anniversary with an event on December 12, inviting clients and community members to share memories and celebrate the milestone.
