Community Celebrates Veterans Day with Honoring Events

Greensboro, North Carolina, celebrated its annual Veterans Day parade on Saturday, honoring local service members and their sacrifices. The event, known as Greensboro Honors, commenced at noon at the intersection of North Elm and East Lindsay Street.

This year's parade notably recognized Purple Heart recipients and their families, alongside veterans from various military conflicts. Participants included marching bands from local high schools, JROTC units, military vehicles, floats, and numerous local clubs and organizations.

Purple Heart recipient Ken Dule, who has shared his experiences in a published book, rode aboard the Purple Heart float, symbolizing the bravery and commitment of all service members honored during the event.

The parade also featured participation from Gold Star Mothers and Wives, Guilford County JROTC units, and Oak Ridge Military Academy, highlighting the community's collective appreciation for veterans.
