Delta Airlines is launching its Centennial Cheer initiative this holiday season, celebrating acts of kindness among its employees and customers. The airline will reward 100,000 acts of kindness with Holiday Medallion cards, recognizing gestures like helping fellow travelers and sharing snacks.
According to Delta's Chief Customer Experience Officer Erik Snell, the initiative aims to create a positive loop of gratitude during a typically stressful travel period. In another inspiring story, drag queen Pattie Gonia has raised over $1 million in under a week by backpacking 100 miles in full drag.
This campaign, supported by over 31,000 donors, aims to fund eight organizations dedicated to diversifying outdoor experiences. Additionally, 88-year-old Army veteran Edmund Bambas has captured hearts after a GoFundMe campaign raised over $1.7 million to support his retirement.
After his story went viral, thousands of strangers donated to help him with living expenses after losing his pension from General Motors when the company went bankrupt. The community's generosity reflects the profound impact of individual acts of kindness, inspiring others to engage in similar support efforts.
