Charitable Donations Fuel Medical Research and Community Aid

The V Foundation for Cancer Research raised a record-breaking $3.1 million in New York City on Wednesday night at its fifth annual 'Boo-Yah' event, honoring former ESPN anchor Stuart Scott. The event, named after Scott's catchphrase, featured the debut of the '30 for 30' film titled 'Boo-Yah: A Portrait of Stuart Scott,' which highlights his inspiring battle with cancer.

ESPN Chairman James Pitaro emphasized the pride ESPN employees take in supporting the V Foundation, which has raised over $400 million for cancer research since its inception. During the gala, Stuart Scott's sister, Susan Scott, noted that 100% of donations go directly to cancer research funding.

Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Moss received the inaugural Stuart Scott Impact Award, acknowledging Scott's influence on breaking barriers for people of color in broadcasting. The event was hosted by Rich Eisen and Rachel Scott, further celebrating Stuart Scott's legacy ten years after his passing.
